Whelan Heats Services specialise in the installation and removal of oil storage tanks.Our team are fully certified and accredited with OFTEC to complete and certify all work upon completion.All our works are completed to meet all local government legislation and all our tanks conform to BS EN 12285-2 and BA EN 977 standard.
In all circumstances where possible we attempt to ensure the following standards are met when installing one of our integrity bunded oil storage tanks
- Allow 300mm space all around tank to allow for future tank integrity inspection
- 1.8m away from non-fire rated eaves of a building
- 1.8m away from a non-fire rated building or structure (e.g. garden sheds)
- 1.8m away from openings (such as doors or windows) in a fire rated building or structure (e.g. brick-built house/garage)
- 1.8m away from liquid fuel appliance flue terminals
- 760mm away from a non-fire rated boundary, such as a wooden boundary fence
- 600mm away from screening (e.g. trellis and foliage) that does not form part of the boundary.
- Pressure test oil line tio 1 Bar to ensure against any oil loss.
- Install new KBB Fire Safety valve to manufacturer's standard if required
